Moscow's Defense Strategic Shifts
Russian military reservists will now have to secure petroleum plants against unmanned assaults after Vladimir Putin signed a law on Tuesday expanding their participation in the military campaign. The head of state also approved legislation allowing military conscription throughout the year whereas previously it was possible only during specific times in autumn and spring. The federation restricts draftees from being assigned to fighting, but after their armed forces duty they join the reserve forces, exposing them to potential of being deployed to conflict.
Substantial defense expenditures have also started to strain the Russian state budget, with Moscow raising taxes to plug a rising deficit.
The President's Appeals for Allied Help
The national leader urged the US to stay receptive to supplying Kyiv with far-reaching military equipment. Addressing a European Union summit from the eastern front, the national leader also requested more western sanctions on Russia – including on the energy and atomic industries – and said he wanted Ukraine to join the EU prior to the next decade.

The federation's diplomatic mission later offered regrets for the passing of a Romanian worker in the accident but seized the moment to protest that the negative feedback to the remarks was prejudiced toward the federation.
